Investigation by Revelation Agents has revealed the identity, origin and life time of the lady who was strangled at Venice hotel in Woji road in GRA in PortHarcourt,Rivers State, Nigeria yesterday August 15,2019 as Jennifer Nwokocha who hails Umuekenyiki from Obirikom in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government area. Her father is late and was a former Agip Oil Company Staff. As at this morning Revelation Agents established contact with her cousin. The cousin told our reporter that after her father’s death she has being having issues with her step mother. We also gathered that her step mother who refused training her in higher institution also refused to give her some percentage of severance package of her late Father that was paid by the company. The source revealed that the family waded in to resolve the matter but they met stiff resistance from the woman.
We learned that Jennifer was left to carter for herself after then. Her mother was not legally married to the father. She was born out of wedlock. The family member also confirmed that their was white clothe round her neck.In the meantime Civil Rights Council Rivers State, a Human Rights group has condemn the trend of strangling ladies in the hotel. It is an act of murder that must be condemned by all men of good conscience. Civil Rights Council Rivers State in a statement by its Chairman, Prince Wiro said apart from compulsory installation of CCTV,one of the measures that should be in place to ensure the perpetrators are arrested is for the guests to write their phone numbers before checking in whether male or female. We understand that people we may write fake number so will just that after the guest has written his or her number, the receptionist should call the number and ensure the person picks to confirm if is the person’s number. If the person says He or she does not have a phone, He or she should provide a phone number and the receptionist should call the number to ensure that the owner of the number can serve as guarantor to him or her.
The statement added Civil Rights Council shall carry out physical and shadow investigations into the latest incident as we believe suspected serial ritual killer may be on the loose in Rivers State.
The spokesperson of Rivers state Police command has confirmed the incident.
It would be recalled that one Maureen Ewuru from Abia state was strangled in a hotel room in PortHarcourt last month
