NAPTIP Arrests Nigerian Man Who Specialize In Trafficking Women To Egypt
Operatives of National Agency For Prohibition Of Trafficking Un Persons (NAPTIP) says it has arrested a notorious human trafficker for forced labour.
NAPTIO made the disclosure in a statement released by the agency in it’s official Facebook handle ,Today July 8,2019
The suspect, 54 years old Mr. Adedotun Adebayo from Edo State is a member of a trafficking syndicate that specialises in trafficking young Nigerian girls to Egypt for labour exploitation, and was arrested while trying to recruit another victim.
The suspect resides in Cairo, Egypt but visits Nigeria to recruit unsuspecting young girls under the disguise of securing lucrative jobs for them in Egypt.
He has made useful statements, and very importantly, has been mandated by NAPTIP to facilitate the return of one of the victims trapped in exploitative labour in Cairo to Nigeria within a week. Investigations are still ongoing to fish out other members of the syndicate and bring them to justice.
