Nigerian Army Raid Ogoni Communities In Search Of Criminals
Reports say personnel of Nigerian Army early hours of Today,September 11,2019 raided Bodo community and its environs in Gokana local Government area of Rivers State,Nigeria in search of criminals terrorizing the area.
Revelation Agents learned that the soldiers allegedly ransacked Sports Bet Company and beer parlour during the operation.
A native of the community who preferred to remain anonymous told Revelation Agents that the raid may not be unconnected with the reported attack of a security personnel by hoodlums in the area recently.
Another eyewitness revealed that travellers are ordered to come down from their vehicle by the Military at check point along Biara Deeyor axis of Kpopie Bodo road and made to raise their hands up while crossing the length of area where the soldiers are stationed.
The native also alleged that the travellers are asked to sing ‘We want peace and not cult’ while passing the area.
A Youth leader in Bodo community,Nkpoobari Patah in a Telephone interview with our reporter said he welcome the military operation due to increasing rate of criminal activities in the company.
The spokesperson of 6 Division Nigerian Army Colonel Aminu Illayasu did not respond to text messages sent to him by our reporter.
