One Mrs Deborah Allen Amobi in a chat with Revelation Agents Online News has decried the contineous detention of her husband by Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) , Rivers state chapter for over forty days without court order or producing him in court

She alleged that the investigating Officer has been asking her to meet him at Uchenna Hotel in Egbema in ONELGA, Rivers state, Nigeria since the arrest of her husband on the February 17th,2019

Mrs Amobi explained that her husband was arrested at Okwizi community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local Government area of Rivers state on frivolous allegations and later transferred to the NSCDC state headquarters on 19th,February,2019 where He is still kept in detention

She stated that her husband is innocent of the crime His accused of. Mrs Deborah said” despite the fact that the prime suspect has been arrested, the Investigating officer instead of releasing my husband is asking me to meet him in hotel if i do not want my person to go to jail “

She lamented the untold hardship she and her three children is going through since the illegal detention of her husband

Meanwhile the investigating Officer simply identified as Matthew when contacted by Revelation Agents Online News on the allegations against him described the woman’s claim as total lie. He claimed that it was the woman Who is calling him that she wants to meet Him in the hotel but He refused

The Spokesperson of the NSCDC in Rivers state Michael Oguntuase when contacted by Revelation Agents said the command does not detain People more than necessary as prescribed by the law

He explained that the suspect was granted administrative bail but could not meet up the condition

He however promised to interface with the office of the state commandant

Meanwhile a Human Right Group known as Civil Rights Council has petitioned the state commandant over the contineous detention of Allen Amobi

In a petition dated Friday,29,March,2019 which was signed by the Barrister Arochukwu National Coordinator Civil Rights Council and Sebastian Kpalap Chairman Steering Committe Civil Rights Council PortHarcourt and addressed to the state commandant of NSCDC in the state called for the immediate and unconditional release of Allen Amobi

The petitioner urged the state commandant to investigate the activities of the Investigating officer whom they alleged is conniving with some family members of the suspect to undo him
