Less than 24 hours after the security meeting that held in convocation arena of Ken Saro Wiwa in Bori, Khana local Government area of Rivers State, Nigeria which had in attendance the Commander of Anti-Cultism Police unit in the state, the Rector of Georgewill Onigiye and the students of the institution led by Comrade Ojenike Nathaniel, the President of Student Union Government,a suspected armed robbery kingpin who is accused of terrorizing students lodges in Bori has been arrested.
We learned that the suspect was arrested in a bush bar in Prince Ijbara street in Bori Yesterday night August 15,2019 .
Our source revealed that students whom he and his gang had robbed spotted him and informed the Police who came to the place swiftly and arrested him.
When contacted, the President of Student Union Government (SUG), Comrade Ojenike Nathaniel confirmed the development to our reporter. In the meantime, we gathered that the suspect is helping the Police with investigation.
It would be recalled that the meeting yesterday was to reassure the students of the institution of the commitment of the security agencies to protect lives and property following reports of robbery attacks as well as rape of female students in their lodges located outside the school campus.
The spokesperson of Rivers State Police command, Nnamdi Omoni is yet to respond to text messages sent to him on the incident by our reporter.
