Police Destroy Kidnappers Camp In Omerelu,Recover Garri,TV,Generator ,etc

DESTRUCTION OF KIDNAPPINER’s CAMP AT OMERELU IN IKWERRE LGA.
Operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), in a sting operation on 5/7/19, following the attack on motorists along the Omerelu/Owerri Road on 4/7/19 while acting on credible information, stormed a Kidnapper’s Den at a forest in Omerelu.
On sighting the Police,the hoodlums engaged them but were repelled and chased farther into the forest with some of them sustaining life threatening gun shot wounds.
In the wake of the incident their Camp was dismantled and set ablaze.
Exhibits recovered from them include:

1. One locally made pistol
   2.live Ammunition
   3.one 32inches plasma TV
   4.one generator
   5.one bag of garri
   6.Bank ATM Cards
   7.Photographs of the hoodlums.
   Efforts have been intensified to ensure the timely arrest of the fleeing hoodlums. As we strongly appeal to the public to avail us of any information that can lead to their arrest.
