Police In Rivers Rescue Staff Of NPC From Been Lynched Over Alleged Child Theft

A woman this Sunday afternoon,April 28,2019 was rescued by Police officers attached to Azikiwe Divisional Police headquarters Illabouchi, Mile 2 Diobu, PortHarcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria from mob who wanted to lynch her at school road street mile 3 diobu, PortHarcourt over alleged Child theft Revelation Agents Online News can report.

Our reporter gathered that the woman was moving along the School road street with a two years old boy who started behaving funny towards the woman.

An eyewitness, Miriam Charles Peter told our reporter that the child’s strange behavior attracted passersby who started interrogating the woman to ascertain if she is the actual mother of the child

The eyewitness stated that the woman who could not give a satisfactory answers to the mob narrowly escaped lynching as the Police came swiftly and took she and the child to the station

Our reporter who was at the station reports that the Police have started investigating the matter with a view to determining if the child belongs to the woman

The woman while speaking at the station claimed she is a staff of National Population Commission who was transferred from Abeokuta to the commission’s office in Moscow road, Port Harcourt just recently

The Spokesperson of Rivers state Police command, Nnamdi Omoni is yet to respond to text messages sent to him by our reporter on enquiry into the incident
