The Bauchi State Police Command says it has arrested fake drug manufacturers The Commissioner of Pilice in the state of CP Habu A. Sani, psc disclosed this during a press briefing yesterday June 15,2019
According to the Commissioner,
on 13/06/19 at about 2230 hours, following a credible intelligence, a raid of black spot was conducted at Gwallameji area of Bauchi which led to the arrest of two (2) suspected fake Codeine manufacturers.
The suspects are:
i. Emmanuel Patrick ‘m’ 26yrs and
II. Victor Oguwu ‘m’ 24yrs all of Yelwa area of Bauchi.
Exhibit recovered include:
i. Seventy one (71) bottles of locally produced Codeine
II. Thirty (30) Bottles of Tutolin
iii. One (1) Carton of ORS used for Codeine production
iv. One (1) pot of Codeine already made awaiting refilling
v. Over one hundred (100) empty scavenged bottles
Sixty (60) bottles top cover
vi. One hundred twenty (120) product name tags.
He added that the case is under investigation after which the suspects will be charged to court.
