The Centre For Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign condemn in very strong terms the unwarranted and senseless killing of unarmed protesters at lekki toll gate,Lagos State by Nigerian Security Forces.Peaceful protest is a fundamental right of every Nigerian citizen and not a murder sentence to have attracted death and extra judicial killing of peaceful protesters .Centre For Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign Call on the Commander in Chief of Nigerian Armed Forces,President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately open an investigation into the barbaric and gruesome killing of unarmed protesters at Lekki toll gate with a view to unravelling the persons responsible for the dastard act and bringing them to book. Centre For Basic Right equally call on the International Community to take note of the happening in Nigeria and prevail on the Government to end killing of peaceful protesters. We enjoin the protesters to remain peaceful as they go about their legitimate business and not to resort to violence irrespective of the provocation by mischief makers. Finally we call for an end to all forms of violence perpetrated against citizens by security forces in Nigeria.
