Chief Magistrate Court Remands Man,40 In Prison Custody Over Alleged Defilement Of His 5 Year Old Daugther

A Chief Magistrate Court presided in Port Harcourt presided over by Chief Magistrate F.N Amanze has remanded Progress Phimia,Man 40,on charges bordering on having carnal knowledge of his daughter aged five years.
The charge sheet with N0 PMC/1859C/2021 read :that you Progress Phimia   ‘m’ of N0 4 Philips close off road 24 Agip Estate Port Harcourt, sometimes in the month of November 2021 in Port Harcourt Magisterial  district unlawfully had carnal knowledge of your daughter aged 5 years and thereby committed an offence punishable under   section 218 of criminal code Cap   “37”  Vol.11 laws of Rivers State of Nigeria 2004
The defendant did not. take plea when the charge was read to him.
The Chief Magistrate adjourned to 9,December, 2021 and ordered case file be transferred to Director of Public Prosecution for advice.
