Former Governor of Akwa/Ibom and ex-Senator in the 8th National Assembly, who is the present Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Senator Godswill Akpabio has denied nursing a Presidential Ambition.
Senator Akpabio made the disclosure during the House representatives Committee Hearing on alleged corruption in the Niger Delta Development (NDDC) on Monday in Abuja.
The Minister of Niger Delta also dismissed insinuation that forty billion naira was missing from the commission’s account.
Senator Akpabio disclosed that aside oath of allegiance to constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria no other oath was administered to any Staff or appointee of NDDC while maintaining that forensic audit is ongoing .
When asked if he influences the Managing Director of NDDC, Senator Akpabio said
If the NDDC is going wrong I will intervene to correct the anomalies.
