Details has emerged how security details of former Chief of Staff to Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State rescued John Danjuma from lynching by angry mob when he(suspect) was apprehended after allegedly killing Boma Jumbo, his former Boss on Tuesday.
Mr Justin Dickson a resident of,Amaechi Drive,GRA phase 3, PortHarcourt in an interview with our reporter narrated how the suspect was apprehended after killing Mrs Jumbo.
Mr Dickson said “that Tuesday evening there was heavy down pour,after the down pour,I was in a Saloon in a building before the woman’s (deceased) compound .So when we were there,we were hearing thief,thief .We ran out we found out that the guy was trying to jump fence but he could not jump he decided to follow through other road .Getting there,we saw that other people have already apprehended him before we reach there.
“We even wanted to beat him before the security attached to a former Chief of staff in Rivers State Government House, Emeka Woke came out and said they should not beat him.
“We did not know he killed,we thought it was robbery or stealing issue.Reaching there,we saw that is John Danjuma who is working with the woman(deceased) as a security guard.
“What came out from his mouth while we were there is I kill her.
“We asked him,who did you kill.He repeated,I killed Madam.Everybody was shocked .We did not believe until we took him to Police station.The former Chief of Staff security personnel took Danjuma to Police station while we followed them with our own vehicle to the Police station at Abacha road.
“The DPO and other Police officers came to the woman’s compound with the help of other security. When we came in the girl there was crying, shouting .We found our way through the fence into the compound.
“So we open the door ,the Police man went into the room and found out that the woman was dead .During the interrogation in the station the guy said he was there,inside the woman’s compound since 3am on Tuesday morning monitoring the situation of things in the compound before he got his way .
“When the rain was falling that is when he stabbed the woman to death . Danjuma was apprehended about some minutes past 6pm Tuesday evening”
The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command, SP Grace Iringe Koko confirmed the incident while adding that the suspect has been transferred to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), PortHarcourt for proper investigation.
Mr Danjuma was arrested by his former Boss,Mrs Jumbo on allegation of theft and later arraigned in court.
Mr Danjuma, we learned started plotting how to kill his former Boss after he perfected his bail condition and released from custody until Tuesday when he(Danjuma) carried out the murder.
