As part of the measures put in place to ensure a hitch free sallah celebration in the state, the State Commandant NSCDC Rivers, Commandant,Aliyu Bature deploys a total of Three Hundred And Fifty Seven personnel of the Command ahead of the forthcoming Eid-el-kabir Celebration in Rivers.
The personnel are to ensure all recreation centers, places of worship, all the oil pipeline installations/ locations and identified flashpoints are heavily guarded before, during and after the celebration.
Residents are however advised to report all suspicious movements around them to the nearest security outpost for prompt response.
While wishing the Muslim faithful a happy Eid-el-kabir in advance, the general public are hereby advised to stay away from acts capable of undermining the peace and tranquility enjoyed in the state as such will meet stiff resistance from the Command.
