One Soldier, Four BokoHaram Terrorists Killed In Exchange of Gun Fire In Borno state

The Nigeria Army has confirmed the death of one soldier and four  BokoHaram  members yesterday  16thDecember,2018 at Maibukarti village along Maidugiri- Damboa road in Borno state, Nigeria

In a statement released by Brigadier General   Sani Kukasheka Usman, Director Army Public Relations said the terrorist came around 5.00pm to attack the village and was engaged by the gallant troops

The statement read that the troops were further reinforced and went on hot pursuit of the fleeing terrorists while the Nigeria Air force provided close air support, unfortunately one soldier paid the supreme price during the encounter with the terrorists

The Director of Army Public relations stated that the troops recovered four AK 47 riffles,45 rounds of 7.62 live ammunitions, 5 AK 47 riffle magazine, 2 Motorcycle and 1 Bicycle

“Other items recovered include 1 GSM handset, 3 simcards,1 bandolier, an earpiece, phone accessories, kola nuts, gloves and drugs”

The statement added that the exploitation continues inconjunction with Civilian Joint Task Force
