A suspected petty thief identified as Azunda met his waterloo  early morning Monday at Bestman Estate Rumuokwuota, PortHarcourt,Rivers State  while attempting to escape by scaling through a fence as the broken bottles and other sharp objects pierced  his stomach  and ripped his Intestine, Revelation Agents has learnt.

A resident of the estate did not want the name to be on print told our reporter that the suspected  thief had carefully scaled through the fence of his target and went straight to tear the window net  to pick items that his hand can get to through the window.

The source revealed  that the owner of the house, Mr Gabriel woke up and raised alarm on sighting the suspected thief.We gathered that Mr Gabriel came out of his room and gave the petty thief a  hot chase and the suspect stomach was pierced by broken bottles and other sharp objects on the fence when he(suspect) was scaling through.

We gathered that the suspect’s family members  after rushing their brother to the hospital,mobilized and went in search of the owner of the house accussing him of attempting to kill their brother.

Our source disclosed that the owner of the house where the incident took place was reportedly kept under protective custody by Rumuperikom Police Division at Kala where he went to incident the matter due to action of the suspect’s relatives .

As at time of filing this report the suspected petty thief is said to be on admission in a hospital in PortHarcourt.

The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command,SP Grace Iringe Koko told our reporter she will get back to him upon enquiry into the incident.She was yet to get back to our reporter as at press time.
