The Rivers State Police Command says the command is investigating alleged attempt by a woman to sell her five year old boy child at Bishop Okoye street,Mile 3 Market Diobu,PortHarcourt
The Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police Command,SP Grace Iringe Koko told our reporter that the woman was brought to the Police station by some persons who alleged she came to the market to sell her child.
SP Koko disclosed that the command is investigating to ascertain the veracity of the eyewitnesses claims.
Recall that Mr Nelson Tasie, a former Vice- Chairman of Goat Meat Sellers Association,Bishop Okoye branch in an interview with Journalists disclosed that the woman came to the market on Saturday 24th,2024 to sell her child citing acute poverty and poverty as her reason.
Mr Tasie revelationagents.com that as he was in a haste, he adviced that the woman should be taken to the station for the Police to wade in.
