RIVERS STATE POLICE COMMAND SMASHES A SYNDICATE OF VANDALS IN BORI (OGONI)
In keeping with the “Charge” by the Commissioner of Police Rivers State, CP Usman .A. Belel to smash all criminal gangs in the State and make the State grossly uninhabitable for criminals. The Command today recorded the following milestone achievements as enumerated below:
ARREST OF A SYNDICATE OF VANDALS:
Operatives of F-SARS, Bori, led by the Commander, while acting on credible information, arrested a four-man gang of vandals that specializes in the vandalization of electrical materials and other critical Government Infrastructure in Bori and its environs.
The suspects are:
Legborsi Kabari “M” 27 yrs
Godgift Nnanha “M” 22 yrs
Gideon Leba “M” 18 yrs
Meeabari Obaame “M” 21 yrs
The suspects who have confessed to have vandalized the electrical materials including armoured cables worth about Thirty Million Naira, led the Police Team to Eleme where some of the armoured cables were recovered.
The cables were dug from where buried in the electrical projects by the State Government, between Saakpewa and Bori.
They are still helping the Police in Investigation and will be charged to court as soon as Investigation is concluded.
RESCUE OF KIDNAP VICTIMS AND DEATH OF A KIDNAPPER
Earlier today 6/5/19 at about 0500Hrs, Operatives of the Anti Kidnapping Unit led by the Commander, stormed a forest at Rumuodogo in Emohua LGA, where they rescued two kidnapped victims who were abducted at the East/West road on 30/4/19 while returning from Warri to PH.
The two young ladies were rescued unhurt, while one of the Kidnappers, who was keeping watch over them, was caught in the cross fire that ensued between the Police and the hoodlums and he died immediately.
Their camp was destroyed while others fled with gun shot wounds.

One K2 Rifle
One magazine loaded with sixteen rounds of live ammunition
Meanwhile the two ladies were immediately debriefed and released to reunite with their families, as efforts are on to arrest the fleeing members.
ATTACK ON POLICE MEN AND DEATH OF AN ARMED ROBBER
On 5/5/19 at about 2200Hrs, unknown gun men attacked four Policemen on duty in GRA where in a surprised attack, shot two of our men, while one of the Officers who was gallant enough, repelled them and killed one of the armed robbers and recovered three AK47 rifles, including the one belonging to the dead armed robber, which was loaded with sixty rounds of live ammunition.
Meanwhile other members of the gang with gun shot wounds escaped.
The Command has declared serious manhunt for them.
The onslaught has just begun and no efforts will be spared in smoking them out and bringing them to Justice.
