The Governorship candidate of Accord in Rivers State, Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs on Tuesday unveiled his manifesto tagged “Prosperity For All -My Binding Covenant “.
Unveiling the manifesto he said “The next election shall be very defining moment.We need a Government that we provide a level playing field for fair opportunity to all”.
In his manifesto, Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs
said his Government shall have zero tolerance for insecurity.He shall ensure increased investment in intelligence gathering,technology and intensification of collaboration with state security institutions and neighbouring states in a project named Rivers Watch.
On Education Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs, said his target is to match UNESCO prescription on education,by tackling the challenges of under funding,poor incentives to teachers;dilapidated school infrastructure ,lack of access to technology, unacceotably high student/teacher ratio,dismal delivery of trade and entrepreneurship studies in post basic schools and university graduates without relevant skills.
On Job creation,the Accord Governorship candidate said that a sharp rise in Job creation shall be his priority and shall promote mass job creation through partnership with private sector to set up quick win agricultural value chains and establish industrial parks and free trade zones in all the senatorial zones etc
On Health, Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs said his administration will ensure that adequate healthcare is available for all and not just the rich and shall be achieved by ensuring that Rivers State increases investment in existing hospitals, especially primary health centres etc.
Chief Dumo revealed that his Government shall increase monthly IGR from 9B to 25B in the state and also increase annual GDP.He said his administration shall lay foundation for exponential growth.
Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs also outlined his blueprint for other areas such as Agriculture and Allied industries,Environmental sustainibility,Gender Balance and Inclusion Government, Public revenue and development funding,enhancing local government administration,sports and youth development, combating poverty and unemployment .
Our correspondent reports Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs also unveiled Minifesto which is a specific mini-development plans for the twenty-three local Government areas of Rivers State.
Mohammed Lawal Nalado, National Chairman of Accord in Nigeria in his remarks said “the Manifesto is not too different from what Dumo has been doing.If he has been doing alot without been in Government he will do more in official capacity as a Governor”.
Dumo will one day be the Nigeria’s President.
