Rumuodara Youth Progressive Forum, RYPF,in Obi/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State on Friday 3 January 2020 donated food items to widows in the community.Food items such as bags of rice, cartons of groundnut oil, and noodles were given to the widows by the Youth body to alleviate their suffering .RYPF also encouraged the widows to be strong and relentless as they go about their daily activities.
Comr. Frank Nzube Weli, President of RYPF said: “Part of our vision as elected members of this youth body is to empower our people either directly or indirectly, and to provide all necessary assistance in order to promote quality livelihood for members of the community”.
“we embarked on all these to alleviate the sufferings and pains widows go through in our community. We know what it means for someone to struggle alone or not previllaged to afford certain things by themselves. For me, wealth will be meaningless if it cannot be used to better the lives of the people around us.”
The widows in their response thanked RYPF for the kind gesture.
