Spread the love

The Igbu Upata people do appreciate the immense pain that the unfortunate death of Late Christian Uhugbuom Jaller Uwame has caused his children, family, Odiabidi Community, well-wishers and the entire people of the Kingdom of Upata.

Until his death, he was the Nye Udu Ula Odiabidi and Chairman of Igbu Upata Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs. Very committed and undoubtedly, a very eminent citizen of Igbu Upata Kingdom and his death will be felt not only by his people but indeed, the entire Kingdom.

The Upata people can, nevertheless, be consoled from knowing that Nye Udu Ula Odiabidi has gone to rest in the bosom of God and left behind him a good name and worthy legacy. Indeed, his cardinal objective was to uphold the sanctity of Upata Kingdom and Ekpeye at large.

We have been inspired by Nye Udu Christian Uhugbuom Jaller Uwame’s most positive imprints as a manager of men and resources. His infectious humility and attainments, over the years, surely culminated in his unanimous nomination and coronation as the Nye Udu Ula Odiabidi and later, elected as Chairman of the Igbu Upata Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs.

A great traditional leader and respected by his subjects, Nye Udu Igbu Upata III, HRM Nye Udu Felix Enene Otuwarikpo, Ph.D, led the Upata Traditional Council, titled Chiefs, Community Heads and other well meaning Upata people to the burial ceremony at Odiabidi Town on Friday.

Nye Udu Uwame may no longer be with us but his legacy endures. He had a vision for Upata Kingdom and pursued it with every resource available to him. Nye Udu Felix Enene Otuwarikpo admonished that the people must not let that vision for the greatness of Odiabidi Community and the entire Upata depart with him.

Farewell to this great Upata son and we need to rededicate ourselves to the values he cherished and lived for.

May the Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest.
