Nyesom Wike,the executive Governor of Rivers State has urged Corp members to be faithful and committed to the oath of allegiance which they swore to on the day of swearing in as they offer services to Nigeria and Rivers State in particular.

The Governor who was represented by George Chimezie Nweke Permanent Secretary,Special Duties in office of the Secretary to the State Government, made the assertion during the closing ceremony of 2019 Batch “C” stream 2 orientation course exercise in National Youth Service Corp(NYSC) camp in Nonwa,Tai local Government area of Rivers State on Wednesday 18 December 2019.

He said “Rivers people expect nothing less than total dedication to the oath they swore by upholding its provision in letter and spirit. The Governor assured the NYSC member that Rivers people are hospitable, peaceful and very accommodating.

On his part the Rivers state Coordinator of NYSC,Chiwendu. O. Chukwu urged the Corp members to accept their posting in good faith and work very hard in order to impact positively on the members of their host community. Mr Chukwu thanked the Governor for investing hugely in the camp interms of upgrade of facility. Earlier the state Coordinator told the audience that the Corp members throughout their stay in the camp exhibited high sense of discipline and enthusiasm to learn different skills.
