The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Nigeria has rescheduled the Presidential election and National Assembly election billed to hold Today February 16th,2019 and that of Governorship and state House of Assembly billed to hold March 2nd,2019 over logistics issues
In a press statement personally signed by the Chairman of INEC,Professor Mahmood Yakubu and made available to journalists Today morning,February 16th,2019,the commission explained that after careful review and deliberation it decided to reschedule the Presidential and National Assembly elections to February 23rd and Governorship and state Assembly elections to March 9th,2019
The statement added that,it was a difficult decision to take but it was necessary to ensure credible,free and fair election
