It was an exciting moment for 94 year old DCP(rtd) Dame Stella Obuoforibo Okuyiga as the Rivers State Commissooner of Police,CP Olatunji Disu paid her a courtesy visit in her residence on Wednesday 17 ,April,2024 with some members of his management team.
CP Disu in his brief remark said he came to celebrate with DCP(rtd) Okuyiga who lived an exemplary life while in service worthy of emulation by other Police Officers .
In her response ninety -four year old DCP(rtd) Okuyiga commended CP Disu for the visit while stating that he is the first Commissioner of Police who deemed it necessary to pay her a courtesy call.
Mrs Okuyiga also prayed for CP Disu and his officers to continue to succeed while adding that none of the officers under the CP will die in line of duty.
Our correspondent reports that Mrs Okuyiga retired at the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police(DCP), thirty-five years and among the pioneer female Police Officer enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force in 1955.
